COMPRESSOR STATION

One of the most important element of the natural gas transport system is the compressor station.

Compressor stations are facilities located along a natural gas pipeline which compress the gas to a specified pressure, thereby allowing it to continue traveling along the pipeline to its final destination for distribution to refineries or other end users.

Generally compressor stations are located about every 40-70 miles along the pipeline.

These high pressure, and sometimes, high temperature environments require carbon pipe with corresponding components such as segmentable fittings, ball valves and butterfly valves.

Group B&T works with renowned fabricators and can provide pipes, valves, valve automation and fittings to support the construction of gas compressor stations
